Welcome to the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands!
The Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an international organization dedicated to the study and recreation of the Middle Ages and early Renaissance.
Geographically, the Debatable Lands include greater Pittsburgh and most of southwestern Pennsylvania. The Debatable Lands is the oldest and one of the largest baronies in the Kingdom of AEthelmearc, the region covering western New York, most of Pennsylvania outside the Harrisburg-Philadelphia corridor, and West Virginia.
The Barony-Marche also proudly includes two smaller branches within its borders: the College of Cour d'Or (Pittsburgh-area colleges and universities) and the Canton of Steltonwald (Beaver County, PA).
Newsflash
- The April Barony meeting will be held on the 9th at 8:00pm in HAMMERSCHLAG HALL Room B131 on the CMU campus. (4/9/2008)
- There was a typo in the Barony Meeting announcement sent to the sca-bmdl email list. It incorrectly stated that the April meeting would be in Hamburg Hall B131. This is not correct. The meeting will take place in Hammerschlag Hall Room B131.
